When we welcomed our third boy into the world and tried ordering photo birth announcements online, we were really disappointed with what was being offered. For starters, ordering online was anything but quick and easy. And, everyone seemed to be offering the same laser printed baby announcement cards with vellum overlays or ribbons that require assembly, addressing, and envelope stuffing. Or we found companies selling birth announcements ranging from $2.00-$3.00 per card, that had nothing more to add than just a simple card. So we decided to come up with our own custom baby announcement. Instead of using a low quality magnet material which is hard to print on, we developed a technology to take a high quality, digitally produced photo birth announcement printed on a premium, thick cardstock, and turn it into a magnetic birth announcement. We now had a large, postcard size, high quality photo card that would stick to any metal surface. Well, everyone we visited in the months ahead had our birth announcement on their refrigerators and commented on what a unique idea it was.
