PHOTO TIPS

Here are some quick and easy tips that will give you the best result for your photo and make your magnetic birth announcement, save the date magnet, or kids birthday invitation the best it can be.

1 - Use a digital camera that has a resolution setting of at least 3 mega pixels. Make sure your camera setting is on the highest resolution possible.

2 - Make sure you take the photo in a room where the lighting is good. Low light is the most common issue for poor photo quality birth announcements, save the date cards, or photo birthday invitations. Photos taken outside are the best quality, but as long as the room has adequate lighting, that will be fine too. If you do decide to take the picture outside, make sure that the sun is not behind your subject. The sun should be lighting the subject from the front side so the digital camera can capture the light on the subject. The best time to take photos outside are in the morning or in the evening when the sun is not super bright.

3 - Do not crop or adjust your photo before sending it to us. We will take care of adjusting the photo properly and will send you a proof of your magnetic birth announcement, wedding magnet, or birthday invitation before it goes to production. *****IMPORTANT NOTE: When composing an email to send your photo, select ATTACH FILE, not ATTACH PHOTO. Most email programs will shrink the file down if you select attach photo. The photo file should be between 300k and 3MB in size.

4 - You can send us your birth announcement photo or other photo in full color and we will convert it to black and white for you.

5 - Make sure the birth announcement photo, save the date photo, or kids birthday invitation photo you selected is clear and not blurry. Sometimes if you have the camera too close to the subject, the digital camera will not focus properly.

6 - If ordering one of the full-length magnetic birth announcement designs like Blocks & Stripes, take the photo so the baby's entire body is in the photo. You don't have to zoom in super close to the baby. We can adjust the photo and make it bigger if needed.

7 - If you have any additional questions or need help with your magnetic birth announcement photo, save the date magnet photo, or first birthday invitation photo, just send us an email to art@magneticmessenger.com and we'll respond back to you right away. Following these simple steps will give you a magnetic birth announcement, wedding magnet, or birthday invitation that will exceed your expectations!
